WEEK 1-1/22/2024
Welcome back from holidays. Some changes were made to how the lessons for this semester and future ones( other years) will be played out. From the feedback taken from students and my classmates to the course higher-ups. Upgrades to the course flow needed to be worked on.
I had my class intro with my new main teacher, Ranma, who is also my course leader(I think I will still have sonnu for some things). We reviewed what course was added, changed, etc., How each lesson unit follows specific lesson flow from week 1 to 12 *13(Proj & Final Proj), what will be done, what we expect, and what is important instead of being all over the place. The most important thing is we will be doing a small reset to gain the proper knowledge we should have in semester one because sem 1 was all over the place. It wasn't good, but it will only be a small reset, meaning we will also get going over new stuff that we expect in sem two. This will prepare for the future.
There will only be 3 Prog units ( SEM 2 = PROG 2 & 3) in year 2, and no game engine programming will exist. The professor will try to bring professionals here. At some point, I will be working with game dev peeps. We will do Blueprint and C++ side by side on unreal( as MAIN usage) and do some Unity secondary usage. There will be some workshops that will help us on the side.
From what I think, I can't wait to do this. From what I see it so far, this will be really helpful I what ask for
